CGC Inc., becomes part of the Genesis Alliance Network
Toronto, Canada – August 6,
2002 - GenesisTP Inc. (“Genesis”), the world’s leading technology and
services provider of light steel building solutions today announces that CGC
Inc. (“CGC”), a leading manufacturer and distributor of gypsum wallboard
products, has become part of the Genesis Alliance Network, aimed at
delivering fast, cost-effective, high quality building solutions targeted at
the commercial and residential building market.
CGC and Genesis are pooling their sales, marketing and technical resources
to drive Genesis light gage steel building structures and CGC products into
the residential and commercial markets. “We feel that the Genesis light gage
building structures represent a huge leap in building innovation. We want to
line our company with organizations like Genesis that are redefining
traditional building processes, in an effort to helping to drive down
building costs, improving quality and increasing the speed and
predictability of the building structure”, said Doug Skrepnek, Vice
President of Sales and Marketing at CGC. Both Genesis and CGC produce
leading innovative building solutions that are complimentary in nature.
The Genesis and CGC Alliance will enable those building companies looking
for either high quality construction standards such as non-combustible
buildings, or traditional building standards but expect greater speed and
reduced costs can be achieved through an integrated structural building
solution. Delivering an integrated Genesis and CGC solution to the customer
further extends the competitive advantages of Genesis and CGC products. The
Genesis light gage steel panels are fabricated in a controlled manufacturing
environment before shipped to a building project for installation. Given the
dimensional integrity and precision of each panel fabricated by Genesis,
drywall installation is improved. Drywall contractors prefer installing
drywall on walls and ceilings that are dimensionally straight. An added
benefit of the Genesis solution is that for hard to access areas, drywall
can be installed in the fabrication facility before the panels arrive at the
building project.
“CGC sees an added benefit to becoming part of the Genesis Alliance Network
in addition to improving the competitive advantage of our solutions. We feel
that as Genesis continues to succeed in creating a market for light gage
steel structural framing, the CGC products will become associated to this
newly created light market.” said Doug Skrepnek of CGC.
“The Genesis Alliance Network is a group of companies that was formed by
Genesis that will deliver an integrated solution to the market. The primary
goal of this Alliance Network is to improve quality, cost and speed to
builders and general contractors. Genesis has aligned itself with world
leading companies that have a similar commitment and solution objectives”
said Vincent Mifsud, Chief Operating Officer of Genesis.
Starting immediately, KML Building Solutions, an affiliate Genesis partner
focused on the Ontario Canada market, will deliver CGC products as part of
their structural building solution. This will allow KML to address the
quality needs of various buildings which require superior sound performance,
non-combustible fire ratings and other building standards which extend
beyond the quality of traditional building. For more standard quality needs,
KML will now deliver improved speed and an improved cost advantage achieved
through the dimensional integrity of our panels making it easier for
dry-wall installation and by installing drywall on to the panels before they
arrive to the building site for hard to access areas.
“We are pleased to be partnered with a leading building innovator like
Genesis”, said Jim MacKay President of CGC. “We feel this relationship is a
win for all parties and the customers will benefit tremendously from this
Alliance”
