KML Building Solutions surpasses important milestone providing over 1000 units to one major residential builder: URBANCORP

KML, growing its presence in the residential construction market by expediting and simplifying the entire building process

Toronto, Canada - July 12, 2002 KML Building Solutions (“KML”), a leading provider of structural framing solutions to the Ontario, Canada market today announces the achievement of an important milestone with one of the leading residential builders in Ontario, URBANCORP. KML has provided URBANCORP over 1000 residential building units with its light steel structural framing solution. This was accomplished as KML has completed the last phase of a major residential project in Toronto, called Town Homes of Toronto Centre located at Yonge & 401. Over the past 4 years, KML has completed several projects for URBANCORP, the latest being a major multi-family residential project consisting of over 400 individual family homes in 3-storey multi-family buildings.

Rudy Trevisan of URBANCORP states “The KML light steel structural framing solution is a cost-effective, high quality answer to structural framing that is delivered with speed and predictability. We are very pleased with their solution and as a result, we have used them on several occasions over the last 4 years. We are now able to take full advantage of the KML solution resulting in expediting the entire building process. KML technology enables us to better plan the entire development which expedite other sub-trades involved in the building process by incorporating their requirements into the framing package.

“As an electrical contractor, KML solutions help simplify our process by pre-punching holes right into their wall systems promoting access to run wiring throughout the building. The KML framing solutions come pre-configured for our needs enabling us to complete our job cost-effectively with greater speed versus other traditional framing products” said Jorge Herce, Vice-President of Infrastructure at Ozz Corporation.

“With the KML solution, all heating, air conditioning and exhaust, and ductwork distribution requirements are thought through before the building project commences. This simplifies our on site co-ordination tremendously and ensures that all mechanical needs are properly incorporated into the building project. The KML light steel framing solutions is the preferred framing method for our company and our installers,” says Leonard Fantin, Vice President of Cooltech Air Systems Ltd.

KML sees it’s customers as important alliances which have resulted in a dramatic increase in repeat purchases from its growing list of existing customers. KML’s focus on servicing its customers has resulted in customers having made significant repeat purchases. “We use this as a measure of our overall performance and verification that we can consistently deliver fast, high-quality solutions in a cost-effective manner. We are extremely proud to have our first customer achieve over 1000 units.” said David Fogolin, Vice-President of Project Management at KML.
